WATCH: The Men Of Broadway Bare All In Solo Strips Above is a highlight reel of Broadway Bares: Solo Strips, which was performed on May 5th at XL Nightclub. The show is an annual male-only strip show put on by the hottest men from Broadway. Eleven men, including Matt Anctil, Patrick Boyd, James Brown III, Timothy Hughes, John Paul LaPorte, Patrick McCollum, Peter Nelson, Daniel Robinson, Matthew Rossoff, Dennis Stowe and Sheldon Tucker, helped raise $13,177 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The Boys Of “Broadway Bares” Return To Heat Things Up: PHOTO Broadway Bares returned to New York’s XL nightclub last night for a scorching revue that revved up audience members for the much-anticipated main Broadway Bares show in June. “Broadway Bares: Solo Strips” featured a dozen handsome chorus boys from the Great White Way making like Magic Mike in a series of creatively risque boylesque numbers. Our favorites included a Downton Abbey bit that had a footman ripping off his starchy suit, and a number lampooning the lengths people go through to pass airport security. (Let’s just say he took off more than his belt and shoes.)

This year's show, Happy Endings, put a sexy spin on classic fairytales. BORBAY AND LANKIN PAINT LIVE AT BROADWAY BARES XXI: MASTERPIECE IN MANHATTAN Our Broadway Bares adventure began when Ari Lankin painted an impromptu tatoo on the arm of a Kriss Angel dancer in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign. They suggested we paint live at Broadway Bares Las Vegas, which we did, at Planet Hollywood. A few weeks back, Ari received a call requesting the live-painting action for the fittingly named “Broadway Bares XXI: Masterpiece” at the Roseland Ballroom on Father’s Day (the Vegas installment was on Easter Sunday). And just like that, it was on.

SCENE + HEARD: David Hyde Pierce, Jim Parsons, Half-Naked Dancers Help Broadway Bares Rake In Million-Dollar Windfall Sunday night reminded us of why we love New York so much: After spending the day getting poked and spanked at Folsom Street East, we headed over to Roseland Ballroom to catch Broadway Bares XXI: Masterpiece, the amazing and risque Broadway burlesque benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Bringing together some of the sexiest performers on Broadway—plus top producers and choreographers—director Josh Rhodes and executive producer by Bares originator Jerry Mitchell presented mindboggling numbers based on well-known works of art. If we'd known paintings were so sexy, we'd be spending a lot more time at the museum!

Stage legend Jerry Mitchell (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde) has overseen the show since it debuted in 1992, and it’s gone on to spark spin-offs in Las Vegas and London’s West End (plus a recent revue on Fire Island). BROADWAY BARES, the hotly anticipated annual event combining the naughtiness of burlesque and the razzle-dazzle of Broadway, has been a smashing success since its inception in 1992. Too Darn Hot: BC/EFA’s “Broadway Bares” in Las Vegas doubles last year’s revenue
Entertainers from up and down the Strip performed in the Las Vegas sequel of the hit benefit concert “Broadway Bares” on April 24 at Planet Hollywood and shed their clothes for the cause. Broadway Bares is a 20-year tradition here in New York, one that's raked in over $7.5 million to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year alone the one-night-only spectacle—made up of Broadway's best dancers and a few of its favorite stars sizzling through burlesque numbers that leave many of them an errant sneeze away from nudity—broke its own record, collecting $1,015,985 for the charity. Take 220 of Broadway's sexiest dancers, put them together on one stage, take off their clothes and you've got yourself the biggest charity event since Julia Roberts married Lyle Lovett. In the last 20 years, Broadway Bares, an annual burlesque benefit put on by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has become the must-see gay event of the year. And for good reason. Where else can you enjoy grade-A tail while being charitable? The money goes to seven different AIDS groups and make no mistake, it's no chump change. This year they made more than a million dollars... not bad, considering we're in the middle of an economic crisis.

SCENE + HEARD: Rufskin And Broadway Bares Boys Cause Pop-Ups On Eighth Avenue
It doesn’t take much to turn heads in a neighborhood like Chelsea, but the Rufskin pop-up store on Eighth Avenue found a rather enticing way to stop traffic in front of their huge windows last night, when they hosted the boys of this Sunday’s Broadway Bares 20 for a fundraiser and shopping extravaganza. The gays sipped complimentary drinks and previewed merchandise both on hangers and on the scantily clad Broadway beefcakes. We caught up with Rufskin’s global sales director Jason Wimberly, who reminds all you procrastinators time is running out to visit the temporary shop. “We’re here for three months with one more left to go,” he says. ”This pop-up will go to Atlanta in the fall—We travel around and bring nudity to your hometown! After that, we'll be looking for a fulltime space on Eighth Avenue. It was a strategic plan because we’re much larger in other [areas]—specifically in Asia and Europre—so we really wanted to increase our market presence in the United States."

Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is one of the foremost AIDS charities on Broadway and their four yearly benefits provide not only help to those who need it most, but also provide thrilling showcases for the vast talent on Broadway and off, raising tens of millions of dollars a year for AIDS-related charities. Executive Director of the BC/EFA, Tom Viola, is receiving a Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre for his work as an individual this year, as the organization itself has already been singled out for their amazing work by the Tony committee. Here, Viola discusses his feelings on the Tonys, the origins of the many yearly benefits such as Broadway Bares and Easter Bonnet Competition, in addition to his earliest theatrical memories.

Seven of Broadway’s hottest male performers stripped to two capacity crowds and took in an estimated $9,260. The evening titled Broadway Bares: Solo Strips, an inaugural solo version of the annual Broadway Bares fundraiser, took place at New York’s popular Splash nightclub on January 31. Broadway Bares Raises Over $800K for Broadway Cares
Broadway Bares 19.0: "Click It!", which was held June 21 at the Roseland Ballroom, raised a whopping $808,819 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Both the 9:30 PM and midnight shows were sold out: In fact, all 5,902 available tickets were sold by June 19.
This year $172,284 was raised via the 261 people who participated in "Strip-A-Thon," an online competition that allowed fans to make contributions via BroadwayCares.org. Frankie James Grande raised the most of any single performer, $14,161. Others who brought in high figures include Steven Bratton ($9,685), Jennifer Cody ($7,210) and Holly Ann Butler ($4,560).
Peter Gregus, who created the role of Bob Crewe in the Tony-winning Jersey Boys, directed this year's fundraiser, which was produced by BC/EFA and executive-produced by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell.

A little Bares history: Nearly 20 years ago, Legally Blonde's Mitchell, who once danced nearly naked on a drum in The Will Rogers Follies, found himself inspired to take it all off to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and Broadway Bares was born. The first year, he and seven other Broadway dancers raised $8,000 for the charitable organization.
