WEST END BARES: STRIP BRITANNIA! RAISES £41,953.50
The Broadway Bares fundraising initiative is finally making its way to London as WEST END BARES: Strip Britannia! is launched in London.
Based on American musical director Jerry Mitchell’s original idea, WEST END BARES: Strip Britannia! provides an opportunity for the West End’s sexiest, sassiest and downright HOTTEST performers to raise money for charity – and put on a damn good show.
John Barrowman hosted WEST END BARES: STRIP BRITANNIA! on September 5, 2010, for the Make a Difference Trust. The show featured male and female dancers from the West End "strutting their stuff" and benefiting TheatreMAD and the Make a Difference Trust. This show is the first West End Bares event and is based on the popular Broadway Bares series created by Jerry Mitchell. There were two performances, one at 9:30pm and one at midnight.
Barrowman says, "I'm thrilled to be hosting West End Bares. What a way to make a difference - being a little naughty on stage for a wonderful cause."
Jerry Mitchell is the show's executive producer. Darren Carnall, who is currently appearing in the West End's LEGALLY BLONDE, directs.
Our Artistic Director, Darren Carnall, along with a number of our performers from the night, have set up Just Giving pages, and you can show your support by making a donation on their pages.

WEST END BARES was held at the Cafe de Paris, 3-4 Coventry Street, London
